When my friend & I discuss how we surf the web

omarholmon:

Ian:  I lurk the deepest and darkest recesses of the interwebs for my material. I’ve seen things that would make a grown tauren cry.

Me: Oh, you think internet is your ally, you merely adopted the interwebs. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see WiFi till I was a man.image

omarholmon:

“A lesson in vernacular. A group of tigers is called an ambush. A grouping of crows is called a murder. A group of guns is called an arsenal. A group of innocently slain civilians in a suburb is called a tragedy. A group of dead black boys is called Baltimore, A group of dead black boys is called a Thursday. A group of dead of black boys is called the cutting room floor from headline news.A group of dead black boys is called the hangman’s promise”- William Evans

I swear to Zeus this is the hardest shit I ever post!

“I have been captain of this vessel some 26 years, although my sails have changed she has always been able to recognize her own craftsmanship”-
Ghost ships, vessels, & ships were words that kept reappearing in my writing and I thought nothing of it until I found my mother’s sewing tin which is probably older than me. I’ve seen it all the time in passing since I was younger but hadn’t really looked at it until just now and then realized that there was a ship on the box the entire time.
This is where the line stems from.

Don’t run with a dame cause a dame’s fetching
We run with a dame cause her profession is playing her position
I’m not talking about hoes or staying home in the kitchen
I’m talking about queens, homey those different, they roll for the whole mission
My mrs ain’t submissive
A leader, I don’t need her to do my dishes I need her to do my stitches
Homeboy Sandman “Rain”

“It is said that you are a New Yorker the moment you remember the way New York used to be. We are all New Yorkers then. This miraculous place lives to obliterate its history. It is history as fashion. Trend. Moments. Moments lost…and overwritten. You have to hunt the past in New York. Not like-like Prague, Budapest. Krakow, Paris, Istanbul.

These places wear their pasts with honor over their hearts. A woman. Not a girl. New York …is youth. Always trying on new masks, new faces. New… What are you doing here in this room filled with old sad men and their dead-eyed wives? Look at you. You look carved from porcelain”

(Matt Fraction changed the comic book game with this shit man. Dialogue so damn good I wanted to flip a table over for no freakin reason at all)
